Aquaria KLCC is always a place I want to visit in KL. Such a coincidence, when Danny and I were planning to visit it, we were invited to visit it. It must be the Law of Attraction!
Undoubtedly, Aquaria KLCC is located at Suria KLCC. It is an oceanarium showcasing over 5000 different exhibits of aquatic and land-bound creatures over a sprawling 60k square-foot space. FYI, Aquaria KLCC is a World-class aquarium as well.
It was divided into 9 zones. Every zone showcases different species of aquatic animals; evolution zone, the stream, living ocean, deep forest, the coast, etc., for example.
When first entering the exhibition zone, it is a piranha tank.
Coming next, it’s the gene pool where tourists can touch the animals such as starfish, bamboo shark, sea cucumber. Be nice when touching the animals, they are fragile.
Then, we were exploring different categories such as electrical zone, reef venom, coral walk, flooded forest.
After that, here we went into my favorite zone – oceanarium! According to our tour guide, the oceanarium of Aquaria KLCC is about 90 meters long, which is the longest oceanarium in Malaysia. We spotted different species of shark and fishes, and also sea turtle here.
If you would like to watch the feeding session, make sure you have come out from the oceanarium before 12.30pm. The feeding zone is just at your left after coming out from the oceanarium.
As a tourist spot, Aquaria KLCC has a souvenir store which sells a wide variety of goods such as clothing, toys, keychain, etc. And of course, the price is not cheap.
Other than showcasing the aquatic animals, Aquaria KLCC is also aiming to educate people. They are now having a new zone which is Station Aquarius. Workshops are provided for public to experience and learn about the animals.
Further, Aquaria KLCC is also an event place that you can rent for marriage proposal, birthday party etc. Alternatively, you can also experience to sleep with the shark, dive into the oceanarium (if you have diving license) and more. Overall, Aquaria KLCC impressed me. It was a pleasant half-day tour with my dearest. In addition, Aquaria KLCC is also a great place for you to spend you family day; especially if you have kids. Let them explore more and learn something, this is what quality family day means!

Wow. I've been living in KL almost 5 years but haven't been here too. Haha. It looks interesting, especially Station Aquarius, aptly named too. Good that they have educational workshops.

I never go in Aquaria KLCC yet. The only aquaria that I have visited was at Singapore. I love underwater animals.
